Coding Bootcamp for Teens
Wednesdays Sept. 20th, 27th, and Oct. 4th, 11th and 18th
from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM
What happens when you press “Enter” after typing google.com? How is the data in the web processed, shared and displayed? Join us in this bootcamp to find the answers and learn by hands-on experience how to build a website from scratch. In this project-driven bootcamp, the class will build and publish a website for a local business/organization.
No previous coding experience required. Join whether you’re interested in design or software. Open to all 8th – 12th graders. Please register; limit 30 students. Ten laptops available or bring your own.
About the Instructor: Local resident and Codemania founder Ayham Boucher is passionate about spreading computer science education for all. Ayham is a software engineer and educator. He holds a Masters in Computer Science from Syracuse University and has worked on many projects from Web Application to IoT (internet connected devices). Currently he is a lead software engineer at Cornell University working with a group of talented people on creating tools to empower farmers and researchers with data and to achieve smarter and more sustainable agriculture.
