Summer reading programs begin on Monday, July 3rd and run through Friday, August 25th.

Attention kids and teens! Come on into the library to begin your summer reading adventure this summer!

We have summer reading programs for everyone:

Library Loot for pre-K – 2nd grade

Summer Reading Challenge Bingo Boards for grades 3rd – 6th

Summer Reading Challenge Bookmarks for young adults in 7th – 12th grade

How to Participate:
1)  Starting on July 3rd come into the library to sign up for summer reading
2)  READ books!
3)  Depending on what program you sign up for get raffle tickets and prizes or library loot and prizes!
4)  Repeat! Happy reading!


Summer is here! It’s the perfect time to enjoy the warm weather and relax with a good book. To encourage reading this summer we have reading challenges for all ages including adults!

How to Participate:
1)  Get an Adult Summer Reading Challenge Bookmark next time you visit the library.
2)  READ a book to fulfill one of the “book categories” listed on the bookmark. These categories are meant to encourage you to read something new and different. If you need help picking out a book let us know!
3)  Get a raffle ticket and enter to win prizes! We will draw prizes in August.
4)  Repeat! Happy reading!

Raffle prizes include tickets to a Skaneateles Festival concert of your choice, a membership to the Skaneateles YMCA and Community Center and more!
